    Description

This depiction of a stylish woman holding a yellow and brown parasol is signed with the name H. Blum in the lower left corner. There is a date below the name which looks to be 75 for 1975. The piece is executed in watercolor and perhaps some more opaque gouache where the color seems not as transparent as watercolor. The painting is executed on a tissue paper if some sort held into a piece of cardboard by scotch tape. This item has a great look to it, but that appearance would be enhanced by placing the work in an appropriate frame with the scotch tape removed to the extent possible.
The tissue paper has a straight top and right side. The bottom and left side of that paper are not completely straight but this can be generally corrected when the work is framed . The height of the paper is about 11 1/2 inches on the left side and 12 inches in the right side. The tissue paper is 8 inches wide for the most part with some of the unevenness if the left side resulting in a width user to 7 3/4 inches. The cardboard on which the painting is taped is about 17 1/4 inches high by 11 5/16 inches wide.
