    Description

Cliff Bahnimptewa (137-1984) was a Hopi artist whose specialty was paintings of Kachina dancers.  This small framed and matted gouache depicts the Stone Eating Kachina, Owa-Nyazrozro.  It is in excellent condition and has been looked after by me for the last 35 years after buying it
    at a local antique center
.   There are tears in the backing paper of the frame, but that is the only fault.  The oak frame is 12 3/4" x 11 13/16", outside measurement, and is 1" wide.  The picture inside the mat is 5 1/2" x 5".   A known artist, information is written on the backing paper.
