High quality 9-point-support primary mirror cell for telescope construction and for improvement of customary telescopes.
♦ Suitable for Newton mirrors from 200 mm to 210 mm diameter
♦ Simple height and width adjustment through elongated holes
♦ Suitable for telescope tubes with 225mm internal diameter
♦ Computer-optimized 9-point support with flexible triangles for a homogenous rest of the mirror.
♦ Distance of the three fastening screws to the backside of the telescope mirror: 51 mm

A homogenous and stable support of the mirror is absolutely essential for getting good imaging results with a Newton telescope. ONTC Newton telescopes by TS-Optics belong to the very best of their class, not least because of their high quality mirror cell.
Now we want to also offer these cells to amateurs and telescope builders for their own projects.
These are the features of our ONTC Primary Mirror Cells:
♦ The computer-optimized triangles, as part of the mirror support, are mounted movably.
♦ This results in equal weight distribution across the 9 points.
♦ The holding jaws for the mirror have grooves and elongated holes, permitting an optimal fit of your mirror.
♦ The mirror rests firmly on top of the 9 points and is held in place by lateral cork plates. Thereby, good temperature compensation is achieved.
♦ The cell is colored in matt black.
♦ Collimation is done without tools using grippy tommy screws, which are spring loaded.
♦ The collimation fixation is achieved by small counter screws, which are fastened manually.
