Fabulous 19th c. 22" Cast Iron Victorian Architectural Final

Description

This is a great piece of 19th Century Victorian cast iron in the form of a finial.  The actual finial is 22 inches tall but is 31 inches tall on the base.  It was likely mounted on a building but could possibly been at the top of a large cast iron gate.  The finial was mounted on a heavy piece of round steel some time ago.  I think if you wanted to remove it from that base you could do so with a piece of metal that fit in the bottom & a heavy hammer.  The finial is in very good condition for it's age but does have the expected pitting to the metal surface from exposure to the elements.  There are no losses or weak spots.
