Arduino Nano CNC Shield DRV8825 Kit w/ 3x Optical Sensor + 3x 2M Stepper Cables
    Product Description
    3-Axis CNC controller kit
includes Arduino nano compatible board, CNC shield, and 3x DRV8825 stepper motor drivers. Also includes 3pcs optical sensors that can be used as limit switches, 3pcs 2-METER stepper motor cables (for connecting to common NEMA 17 steppers with 6-pin JST connectors, as well as other common motors), and DC power connector pigtail.
    Ships
    unassembled
    - the heatsinks will need to be stuck to the driver chips, and driver boards inserted into their sockets. The nano board's pins are pre-soldered.
Compatible with GRBL (a very popular and robust g-code interpreter firmware for ATMega328 based Arduino (and clones) boards.
Documentation for these boards is plentiful on the internet, and we have some experience with GRBL and will do our best to help out if needed.
Note that these boards do not support microstepping due to the jumpers connecting the MS0,MS1,MS2 pins on the stepper drivers to GND rather than +5V. This can be fixed if you are comfortable with cutting some traces and soldering, but microstepping is not supported as-is. This is issue is present on nearly all of these nano boards. Most people likely aren't aware of it, because for many applications microstepping is not needed. We have not seen this issue on the similar UNO CNC shields (the ones with 4 driver slots).
You may need to swap your step/direction pin definitions in the header file when building GRBL if your motors aren't moving.
We have documentation on our site including an image showing how to fix the microstep issue with a little bit of wire and solder, as well as pre-built (as well as source code) GRBL firmware. eBay will no longer allow us to post external links, but if you can't find it please contact us and we will gladly share the link.
